I once had a giant Gambian pouched rat. Her name was Stella. She liked to fall asleep in odd places: in the middle of the floor, on top of my bookcase, in the hollow place between my chin and my shoulder—that rat showed up everywhere. She didn’t have the nightcap, or the star-shaped nightlight, but I gave them to her in this drawing.
